About the Event

You love to play outside, but how much do you really know about the outdoors? Test your knowledge at our first ever trivia event. Answer questions about top adventure spots, local favorites, outdoor inspired pop culture, and so much more. Plus, there will be some awesome prizes for the top teams like Deuter Backpacks, Hydroflask Bottles, Smartwool Socks, and more!

All proceeds will benefit the Connecting Classes with Nature program at the Urbana Park District. Teams of up to 4 can register here. It is $10 per team to secure your spot. Space is limited so don't wait too long to register.

Example Questions:

Who was the first person to free solo El Capitan?

What is the Illinois State Bird?

Who wrote the 1903 book The Call of the Wild?

Which state is home to the most national parks?

Every year, Urbana Park District hosts thousands of school children on field trips to learn about nature and the environment with  Anita Purves Nature Center. For some students, this is their first exposure to natural areas. Teachers can bring their classes for a School Tour through Busey Woods, Weaver Park Wetland, or Meadowbrook Park’s Spomer Prairie.

A major obstacle preventing more students from participating in these field trips is funding. Budgets for field trips and transportation are tight. But, together, we can help Urbana School District students attend nature education programs at the Urbana Park District.
